Kapa Haka

Kapa Haka

Gladstone’s Kapa Haka rōpū provides an opportunity for children to immerse themselves in learning through waiata, haka and performance. We offer both Junior (Year 0-3) and Senior (Year 4-6) groups, where children can grow their leadership and performance skills.

Kapa Haka is supported by several Gladstone teachers and under the guidance of our tutor Whaea Angel and her father Papa.

Group members perform throughout the year, culminating with a performance at the Albert-Eden Cultural Festival at Rocket Park in November each year.

At Gladstone, we encourage all children to join our Kapa Haka rōpū. If your child is interested in joining, please contact Meredith Brown or Colin Laing.
