What is Whanau Fono?
Whānau Fono is a supportive space for our Gladstone Māori and Pasifika children and their whānau to come together to support the children’s learning and successes. We meet weekly on Mondays after school to build whanaungatanga, share kai, work on their learning and have fun together. We meet at 3pm outside between the school office and hall and are then collected from the library at 4pm.
At the end of the year we have a special outing to celebrate the children’s commitment to attending Whānau Fono.
If you would like your child to attend Whānau Fono or if you are interested in supporting this kaupapa please contact us.
Please note: There is no Whānau Fono on the first week of each term.
Please subscribe to receive alerts from the Whānau Fono and Gladstone Māori and Pasifika Families channels on the School App to keep up-to-date and be notified if the weekly Whānau Fono session won’t be on.
