This School Holiday Programme is split into two enrolment periods –
Dec 2020 and January 2021.

Children will have the opportunity to participate in both structured and non-structured activities. This will be a combination of craft and recreational activities. Please make sure that you record information correctly on the enrolment form below:

December 2020 School Holiday Programme:

DECEMBER WEEK 1 – School Years 0-2
Monday 21st December – Children will spend the day completing a variety of Christmas craft activities.
Tuesday 22nd December Children will enjoy watching a movie on the big screen at St Luke’s, followed by a colouring competition in the afternoon.
Wednesday 23rd December We couldn’t end the OSCAR year without a Christmas Party. Children will enjoy some fun party games and party food. They will get time on the jumpy castle and receive a Christmas present to take home.
Thursday 24th December Come prepared to bake and decorate some lovely Christmas biscuits. You will be able to take these biscuits home to hang on your Christmas tree to share with the family on Christmas day.

Monday 21st December – Children will enjoy watching a movie on the big screen at St Luke’s, followed by a colouring competition in the afternoon.

January 2021 School Holiday Programme:

JANUARY WEEK 1 – School Years 1-3
Monday 18th Jan -Today is all about fun in the pool. Enjoy our new water inflatables, water wars, slides and water balloons.
Tuesday 19th Jan – Come and help Elizabeth prepare and make a wonderful afternoon tea for all the children. I am sure there will be a little left over for you to take and share with your family.
Wednesday 20th Jan – Children will enjoy watching a movie on the big screen at St Luke’s, followed by a colouring competition in the afternoon.
Thursday 21st Jan – Beach craft day using shells and sand.
Friday 22nd Jan – We are off to Butterfly Creek. Children will see a mix of zoo exhibits, including a butterfly house, plus a dinosaur area, playground & train.
JANUARY WEEK 2 – School Years 1-3
Monday 25th Jan – Capture the smile as we make a photo memory board to hang on the bedroom wall.
Tuesday 26th Jan – A quick stroll down to the local library to pick up some holiday reading (children to bring their Library cards if they have one), followed by a McDonalds Lunch.
Wednesday 27th Jan – Play Dough monsters and scavenger hunt day.
Thursday 28th Jan – Today the children will be able to exert some energy at JUMP. Children must have socks to wear whilst at the venue.
Friday 29th Jan – A selection of canvas craft activities for the children to do during the day.
JANUARY WEEK 1 – School Years 4-7

Monday 25th Jan – We are off to Mini Golf! So, how good is your putting? Don’t worry if it is not too good, as you will have lots of opportunity to get better as you play.
Tuesday 26th Jan – A selection of canvas craft activities for the children to do during the day.
Wednesday 27th Jan – Join us for an amazing high ropes adventure experience, remember your hats and sunblock as this is outdoors.
Thursday 28th Jan – A quick stroll down to the local library to pick up some holiday reading (children to bring their Library cards if they have one), followed by a Sushi Lunch.
Friday 29th Jan – Come and check out the Prada Cup Village on the Waterfront. We may even see some of the amazing boats and find an ice cream shop on the way back to school.
JANUARY WEEK 3 – School Years 1-3
Monday 1st Feb – AUCKLAND ANNIVERSARY DAY – NO PROGRAMME
Tuesday 2nd Feb – Construction Day. If you have any spare boxes, cardboard tubes or old packaging then send it along today as we will put it all to good use.
Wednesday 3rd Feb – Today we will build our own kites in the morning, with a kite flying competition in the afternoon.
Thursday 4th Feb – It is all about the mess today as we make slime and goop for the children to play with.
Friday 5th Feb – “T” Theme Day. Fun times down on the field with our tents and flying toys.
JANUARY WEEK 3 – School Years 4-7
Monday 1st Feb – AUCKLAND ANNIVERSARY DAY – NO PROGRAMME
Tuesday 2nd Feb – Construction Day. If you have any spare boxes, cardboard tubes or old packaging then send it along today as we will put it all to good use.
Wednesday 3rd Feb – Today we will build our own kites in the morning, with a kite flying competition in the afternoon.
Thursday 4th Feb – We are off to a local park to enjoy a picnic lunch and games. Lunch will be provided but children will need to bring their own drink.
Friday 5th Feb – “T” Theme Day. Fun times down on the field with our tents and flying toys.
THINGS TO REMEMBER

1.       Swimming will be available, so bring togs, sun vest & towel.
2.       Parents to provide morning tea, lunch and a drink, unless stated not required.
3        Children must wear shoes on all outing days.
4.       Please have all clothing named and ensure all valuable items remain at home.

SUN SAFETY PROCEDURE
  1. Parents to provide a hat for their child and the child will be required to wear it when they are outside.
  2. The programme will be organised to minimise time spent in the sun during highest burn-time periods, as advised by Cancer Society.
  3. Parents are asked to provide suntan lotion for their children to apply during the day. Staff will encourage older children to apply their own sunscreen and assist the younger children so as to ensure it is applied correctly. It is compulsory that sunscreen is applied to children prior to attending the day.
  4. Parents will be advised to provide appropriate sun-coverage clothing for swimming and trips, such as suitable t-shirts, sun suits etc.
