Gladstone Community PTA
Message from the Gladstone Community PTA
Mon 27 July, 2020
Kia ora koutou,
The gala organising team, together with Dave Shadbolt, have decided to postpone this year’s gala until March/April 2021. This decision was not made lightly, but the proximity to Xmas, and changed circumstances for many of our whanau, it felt like the right option.
The Gladstone Community PTA will arrange a couple of alternate events to fill the gap this year:
-An adult event (probably Beats & Bingo), in the last few weeks of this term.
-A whole school children’s end of year event on the covered turf, combining a disco and other entertainment for the children. (This will replace the Halloween Disco) Friday 11th December, 5:30 – 8:30pm. Mark this fun end of year event in your diaries/calendars now.
If you are able to help out with any of these events, please let us know – at [email protected]. Many hands definitely make light work – and we have a lot of fun along the way.
We will confirm dates & share more details as they are finalised.
Thanks for your understanding.
Julie Carter & Mark Kurtovich
(Gladstone Community PTA Co-Chairs)
The Gladstone Community PTA helps coordinate FUN and FUND-raising events to support the whole of the community associated with Gladstone Primary School. All of our children enjoy the benefits of these activities – which in recent years have included covered classroom deck areas, playground facilities, tiger turf, kapa haka & pacific uniforms, sporting equipment and educational resources.
Many hands make light work and if all of our 600 families helped in one way over the time their children are here, we would never run out of volunteers. There are tonnes of ways you can get involved with the Gladstone Community. Whether it’s a couple of hours manning a sausage sizzle, helping with an IT issue, or supporting one of our fundraising or community-based activities, we have somewhere for you to help.
All meetings are held in the Gladstone Primary School staffroom
Whether you can help a little or a lot, we’d love to connect with you!
You can e-mail us (below) or join us at one of our meetings. Everyone is welcome.
